So New Years came and went without much fanfare (for me at least). I didn't go anywhere because my parents had just come back from NZ and I wanted to spend a bit of time with them. We watched the fireworks on TV outside with the neighbours and then went on a maccas run at like 1am in the morning. Got a couple of hours sleep before waking up at 5:00am to catch the sunrise. I suppose it's becoming a bit of a tradition now.
You can tell she really wanted to get up at 5am:
And I made my first new friend of 2014. She kind of smelt like wet carpet but I didn't mind.
To keep myself occupied, I've also been trying to pick up a couple of new skills. Katy and Kane are trying to teach me how to skateboard, I'm learning how to juggle and I've also attempted whistling. Funnily enough, whistling is the hardest thing for me to do. I have no idea how to change the pitch of it and usually it just comes out kind of wheezy. I'll keep practicing though. Maybe by the end of the holidays, I'll get the hang of it.
P.S. When did I reach the 10,000 view mark?
